Default The Best Ever....in my opinion.

For those of you who may not know, I am a musician.

Like 99% of all drummers, I was born that way . I pulled out the pots and pans, covers and all, and used the wooden spoons when I was less than 3 years old. I got my first "set" for Christmas just after I turned 3, and got my last set last winter.

Anyhoo, I played in bands in my youth, and retired from the biz at 25.

I made a comeback of sorts in 2000 in the Karaoke bars of Louisville, Kentucky, where I eventually MCed the #1 show in town, and was the only Italian, Y'at, Country Singer in North America.

So, I thought I'd kick this "Clubhouse" era off with some YouTubes of my favorite musician of all-time.

    Hope you agree.

Songs in the key of life is a classic...

I liked his secret life of plants album, but key of life is the bomb for me.

Not Stevie, but here is Tom Petty, Jeff Jynn of ELO and Prince, playing my favorite Beatles song. I think this is better and maybe one of the greatest solos I have ever heard!

Nobody ever gives him credit, but Prince absolutely shreds. There was a VH1 thing dedicated to him a few years back and he performed once and ripped then as well. Really talented entertainer.

That solo is easily in my top 5 of all time. Back 1991-1992 his music was a little suggestive for 10-11 year old, and that IS all anyone talked about. Then the whole "slave" thing with sony came out, and brought attention to something other than the music. I listen now to and just think wow, he is a genius. BTW, he plays every instrument on all his albums.
