But don't forget I'm just a hacker and no expert, I'm still trying to figure out how to swing out to out...lol.

You could also try one-arm only swings, particularly with the right arm, as it's easier to feel the weight of the club set properly and harder to manipulate and yank the shaft down to your feet. Brian also has a youtube vid on proper use of the right side with a drill or two in it that might help.

I may be misinterpreting what I see but has any of the advice-givers here seen the release thread? If you believe the concepts presented there, does it not make much of the above advice irrelevant?

interesting topic. its difficult to judge what is a too steep transition and what is not. nicklaus at the top has what would be considered steep hands that are close to his head at the top. but he then shallows the sweetspot during transition. john daly also has hands close to the back of his head and shallows the sweetspot alot less. then you have garcia and mcilroy who both have deep hands and shallow the sweetspot alot during transition. to cut a long story short if you look at nicklaus and dalys hand path and sweetspot path and compare them with garcia and mcilroy there would be a big difference, so its hard to figure out whats considered too steep and what is not. would last parallel be a better indication of whats considered in the slot, because of how different players get from the top to last parallel

That's the idea, he's not doing the release concept correctly in the right direction to be optimal. IMO.

your swing does reflect a player who is fighting a steep shaft. you try to shallow the shaft out late in the swing by bringing the hands to the ball and backing up the shaft. causing you to come way up out of your posture before and during impact also backing your head up alot through impact with the weight getting too much on to the heels. not sure if this will help but try and forget about what the club is doing and work on staying down on the shot with the left shoulder moving up and away as far as you can from the ball.

Problem is he isn't any of those players, he can't do what he needs/wants to with what he's doing.
