Default delofting driver while hitting up

I understand the "feel" of getting a "roll of foam" to roll along the ground but it seems like I have to handle drag to get into the right position.

Is that deliberate out to in swing drill - the hurdle drill - a good way to ingrain getting the hands far enough forward?

There's a fantastic pic of Dustin Johnson showing how to do it in Brian/Mike's Golf Digest article.

There is big difference between putting in enough ARCH (Flexion) and then pulling it out while going normal.....and handle-dragging.

"All you have is the HUB PATH and the force and torque you apply to the club—that's the whole swing."

Thanks Brian. Is there an "optimal" time to put the arch in?
