I am watching some of the worst Open greens in my memory. It is beyond my comprehension that the best in the world can continually leave downhill putts short and misread them because of the inconsistent nature of the surfaces!!! MK:confused:

It is about time that someone came out about the amount of bounce there is in the design of a wedge, the ability to perform shots because the extreme bounce angle on wedges prevents players from becoming good wedge players and have to resort to multiple club options complicating the shot...

If you like golf history and the US Open then get "Chasing Greatness" by Steve Schlossman and Adam Lazarus. It chronicles the '73 Open at Oakmont that Johnny Miller won with possibly the best final round of golf in a major ever.:) Anyway, a great read for you golf history buffs. Enjoy! MK
