Swinging flat... can suck...

From one early extender to another, glad there has been progress

Kevin or anyone, I've been looking for a clear definition of early extension, but have been pretty unsuccessful. Is it too early if the hips are extending prior to impact? if not when?

thanks

Thanks JWat.

There seems to be a correlation between outward hand path and extension.

Generally speaking yes but a golfer can still make all sorts of compensations like looping the hands back behind him while early extending.

Also note than early extension does not always result in a huge loss of the tushline. One can still maintain the tushline while early extending by having the head fall away from the ball during the downswing.VJ Singh is a good example of this move.Singh is an early extender but you can't really say he has an overly outward hand path.

Thats what we are trying to say. That outward handpath helps with the early extension not hurt. Vijay swings way to the inside.
