setting the wrist

I was just told by my instructor that at no time is the wrist still in the golf swing. They are either setting or releasing. I have never heard this before so I would like anybody to comment on this.

Gaining lag or releasing lag is what I was told.

There is almost NO flat line in a good swing.....of any wrist elements.

Case in point:

The wrists are still in my swing…but then again i don't set them at all :)

Does a small/poor wrist set during the backswing, limit my ability to re-hinge the club on the follow through? In other words, if I don't get it right on the backswing, am i toast for the follow-through?

Standing behind, looking down the target line, where should the clubhead be relative to the hands when wrist set brings the club parallel to the ground?
A. Identical to hands
B. Slightly outside of hands
C. Slightly inside of hands

Shouldn’t the folding of the right elbow Cock the wrist?
But almost everyone starts the wrist before the elbow moves
