agreed. i've always preferred a 10-finger and have searched far and wide for any science that suggests it to be inferior to an overlap or interlock, but haven't found anything. maybe it's just tradition.

What I find interesting is baseball style like having left thumb wrapped around the shaft like holding a hockey stick , tennis racket , or baseball bat
I think this is the most natural way to swing a stick of any kind
The only one I can see that has success is the Tommy Gainey grip
I tried this grip and I cannot hit the golf ball like this
Ten fingered with left thumb straight down the shaft I can hit the ball

I go with a ten finger grip with the V's still pointing to the places outlined in Hogans Five Lessons (left hand V to right shoulder and right hand V to chin).
