Guys, what you are seeing is the limitation of the camera. When a photo is taken, all of the photo isn't snapped at one instant in time. The club has moved by the time the whole picture is captured...thus the shaft appears deformed.

The curve in the shaft is correct, but probably enhanced(in magnitude) by the camera. This has been one of the eye opening observations with the MATT system - how early the shaft kicks forward and droops. It is more for the driver and less for wedges, and sure dismantles any notion that one can influence the club's face/path/shaft from the last parallel through impact. It is all pretty much pre determined by last parallel for most golfers.

See, the heavy hit(er) does exist.

Some other interesting things about this shaft and pic is that the club was a demo from the pro shop, no where close to being a good fit. It was also a 460cc driver, from the downswing pic it looks more like a hybrid on the end of that shaft - evidence of obvious distortion. The wrists are still set, so I don't think the full amount of forward bend would be happening until more of the speed is transfered to the club.

Also notice Brian's vast experience to not leave the shaft he's holding in that starting position.

Can't hide talent!

Not a bad camera for an Androgynous? Angina? Andouille? Andre? What's the name of that non iPhone?:p

Yep, thaaaats it. But come on, even the little logo is wearing a white belt... you sure it's not a method platform? :D
