I have had really good success recently moving a bit further away from the ball in my setup than that demonstrated in Brian's setup articles. Are there any downsides to standing a bit further away or is whatever works ok ?

At impact my shoulders and hips are pretty much square to the target line. Looking at pro swings their hips and shoulders are a lot more open at impact. For someone who has had right elbow / right hip collision problems in the past how would you get them into the tour pro 'more open' position...
