    What's going on here?

Anyone know what's going on here? Where is everyone? Even Brian only shows up once in a blue moon. I know he mentioned a lawsuit and I'm wondering if that has something to do with the lack of activity here. Where are all the Manzella disciples? What about the guys on his teaching staff...

    Arm Extension For Toe Hits

Is arm extension at impact a good way to fix toe hits? The conventional wisdom is you need more 'out' in the downswing. Any downside to this? For someone who raises their hands, thus a more vertical shaft causing toe hits thru impact it would seem more extension would negate this.

    Hands inside (ball) path

Is your hand path suppose to be well inside the ball in the downswing? I've always had toe down divots and on a lie board strike the club closer to the toe side on the sole. Also, my misses are toe side of the club head. For some reason in golf I think I may be swinging my hands towards the...

    Why is....?

Is it because of the paid site Manzella and company launch a while ago? Not nearly as much activity as there used to be here. Or is it the sign of the times with golf in general being in decline? When I got an email announcing the updated site I expected much more participation. Even Brian...

The age old Toe Up in backswing

First off I just received an email inviting me to the new web site. I haven't visited since I got a new computer this past year and the MacAfee anti-virus software gave it an unsafe (red) warning on it's site advisor. This new site gets a safe (green) rating from MacAfee, so I'll become a...

Is it possible to play decent golf with an early release

If you physically can't hold the angle long enough in the downswing and get an arched left wrist into impact, then what type of things should you be doing to make decent ball contact and play golf with an early release? For example should you learn to pick the ball (less down), put the ball in...

Right Shoulder More Forward In Downswing To Move Swing Bottom More Forward

Just saw Michael Breed talking about hitting off of mats. As we know mats are more forgiving and can mask bad shots especially fat ones. He mentioned moving the right shoulder more forward in the downswing to move the impact point (ground) more forward. Shifting weight is the usual answer to...

    Shoulder alignment

My miss is a pull left. Was hitting clubs at a store one day and the sales guy says my left shoulder is pointing left instead of parallel left of the target. Sure enough he was correct. Have heard several prominent teachers say the shoulders are what you want aligned properly. Have tried...

Left Shoulder on Backswing (new epiphany)

Have had pretty good success employing a little LCT move on my backswing. But, I've been trying to figure out why it seems to work. The last couple of rounds I took out the LCT and just made sure my left shoulder turned more down (steeper) than around (flat). Bingo. Great contact with a nice...

    Hovering Driver

Just curious how many hover their driver at address. I know Nicklaus did it and Dufner, Kuchar and Bubba Watson come to mind as well. Kuchar does it with all his clubs I believe. What are some of the benefits to not grounding your driver at address? I've never done it, but am thinking about...

    LCT (Lagging Clubhead Takeaway)

Lagging clubhead takeaway for more power - Video - GOLF.com Haven't played golf in a year because of tendonosis in the elbows. Going to get back into golf soon and stumbled across this video of Brian and LCT. What I've noticed with just practice swings without a ball. Wider takeaway (less...

Professional shallowing on plane move at transition / or The Twirl

There's a shallowing / flattening move (I call the "Pro" move) in the transition. This move has been an elusive epiphany for most hackers. It seems one way of achieving this shallowing is to make a quarter turn counter clockwise with the club in the right hand only, then add your left hand to...

New FAST Procedure for tendon injuries (golfers / tennis elbow)

FAST is an acronym for Focused Aspiration of Scar / Soft Tissue It's a new minimally invasive procedure (just approved last fall) developed by two doctors at the Mayo Clinic. It's being marketed by a company called Tenex Health. It uses untra-sound to locate scar tissue and then uses...

Position of right index (trigger) finger

Yesterday I tried a more pronounced trigger finger with my right index finger. Basically the finger formed a 90* angle with it's hooked position on the club. Tried to feel pressue throughout the swing on the meaty part of the finger and had one of my best ball striking days in awhile. My...

    Too Much Right Arm?

What's the consensus on whether the golf swing is a dominant arm swing (right for right handers) or a non dominant arm swing (left for right handers)? I'm thinking I have too much right arm in my swing. When timing is on I'm fine, on days when it's off I'm all over the place. Was reading...
