What's the consensus here? How do you adjust a golfer's swing if his current motion causes him/her issues with existing disc problems in the lumbar area?
Let's say for a junior in the 12-15 age group, playing a couple of years and doesn't understand why the ball flies the way it does.
Will teaching a kid at this age the nuts and bolts of ball flight benefit them? If so, what's the best approach as to not overwhelm them?
Two weeks ago I shanked wedge shots on 5 holes in a row during a round. Up until then I was playing to a 17 and hadn't shanked a ball since I took the game up seriously over the winter.
In the days since then, my swing has devolved into being completely unable to get the ball airborne and...
I've developed a swing mechanic that's getting me stuck behind my barrel chest on the downswing. My new miss is a block that softly fades or a ball that starts straight and hooks into the next county.
How does a guy get "unstuck" and get those arms back out in front of the chest where they belong?
I notice that my right knee straightens out almost completely in my backswing. I think this may be due to not being the most flexible guy in the world. I've read where it can cause some consistency issues, especially with wedges.
Is this problematic? If it is, how can I work to put myself in...
I know I come way, way too far inside on my takeaway. I work on this but it's an old habit that I've had difficulty shaking. I feel like I overdo it on the length of the backswing as well.
Any other criticism? Nobody got any better having sunshine blown up their butt.
Thanks all!
