#12 - Maximum Trigger Delay

Brian,

I read back in mid 2004 where you talked about being able to help students put maximum trigger delay into their swing. You had mentioned wanting to write an article about it, while I am not sure if an article was written on this, a video would be excellent!

Thanks,

Matt

Thumb Off the shaft drill

Brian,

"Two thumbs up!" on the right thumb off the shaft drill to increase lag. Works great for me. Produces really crisp iron shots. Now I just need to learn to transfer it over to shots with the thumb on.

Thanks....

So, how does one fiddle around and learn maximum trigger delay?

yours truly,

Sergio Hogan.

Be a long time student of Brian.

Brian always told me that his "long term" students would:

1) Be excellent ball strikers and shot MAKERS (much above average)
2) Be long hitters compared to other people of average height/weight/ability/etc

So far both have come true for me and i've seen brian once a year on a consistent basis for roughly 3 years. I have went from the:

twist-away pattern
never hook again pattern
something in between

Now i'm swinging with a double shift and MTD. Now sure how i got there, but i did. Probably just the evolution of my swing.

However i will say that MTD is probably easiest to perform using the elbow plane.
