20° inside-out path & 10° open clubface

A while back, someone talked about a shot that was hit with a 20° inside-out path & a 10° open clubface.

I said I would hit it at the GTE. I forgot.

I did it yesterday. Watching were Tom Bartlett, Damon Lucas and Mike Jacobs.

What a totally NON GOLF LIKE, basically TRICK shot.

To THINK someone said it would be just a little draw....

What, you didn't hit the 10 deg inside-out with a square clubface shot?

You know, the one some folks recommend for hitting a nice right-to-left shot at the target.

Let me guess: that shot didn't FEEL like the clubface was 10* open.

It was a 25 - 30 yard low trajectory hook.

A shot you might hit if you are in the left trees trying to hit it around the trees towards the green.

You would NEVER hit the shot from the middle of the fairway. NEVER. PERIOD.

Maybe if you were on the tee, trying to work the ball around a dogleg, although with a driver, the movement would be about 50 yards, so I would doubt that too. Maybe a 5/10 degree combo!

Actually, I play that shot from the middle of the fairway quite often.

Was it even possible to hit those numbers from a square stance? How many takes?

As a result of access to some super secret spy satellite technology (if I told you, I'd have to kill you), I have some video of Mr. Manzella actually executing the aforementioned shot. Careful viewers will observe the amount of "vogue-ing" that occurs after the ball takes flight. Conclusive proof that the player was pleased with the result!
