Watching Colonial and a guy just hit a 315yd drive BUT when he hit it the club head broke off. That's some new RoC

That is pretty cool. Kind of lends credibility to the clubhead being a free body down by the ball. Literally.

I'm very disappointed I've never used this as an explanation of why there isn't a continuous pivot thru the ball. I've seen it many times at ranges and it happened to me last year with a hybrid. Look where Reifers stopped, I guess that's where the clubhead will pull him the rest of the way.

Did anyone notice how much club head throw away he had?

It happened to me last year with my 5 iron kevin.. When i picked the broken clubhead up a light bulb went off in my head..
I couldn't believe how heavy it was and how light the shaft was.. I keep both in my bag to help my friends who are just starting golf.

Baseball player swing bat head at ball ,bat flies out of hand and ball goes over 300 foot fence and bat goes tru infield...Same principle no? This happened last nite in the majors....

This happened to me a couple years ago playing golf, i was hitting a 3 wood off the tee and playing for a 250-260 yard draw around the going to go down the hill of this hole. I don't wear a glove and had just used spray sunscreen on my hands to put on my face and apparently didn't wash it all off.

I hit my shot, 3 wood came flying out of my hands and went helicoptering down the left side of the fairway about 30 yards or so. Ball still went the same distance. It was at that particular moment i knew the hands didn't matter so much down at impact; just get a good impact condition (d-plane) and don't worry about it.
