I'd like to preface my local course i go to is short and lots of fun because many holes are short par 4s that are fun to play whether you use a 3 iron or a driver.
I'd also like to thank brian for the help he gave me this year and really learning my own pattern and trusting it. The "Never Hook Again" pattern works good for non-hookers too
13th hole</u>
312 yard par 4: Was angry about the last hole as i tried to hit a BIG FADE and hit a BIG PULL. Still learning how to angle hinge with swinging. So i had a small tail wind and decided to let one LOOSE. Hit probably the biggest towering drive of the year that bounced at the front of the green and rolled THROUGH the green. The people on the green didn't seem happy hahaha. Made birdie
14th hole</u>
490 yard par 5: A decent elevation drop that for some reason seems to get very little roll on this fairway. Maybe the fairway is slightly uphill and i just never noticed before. Anyway, since i just hit the big booming drive the previous hole, i figured why not try again? Took another big hack at it and ended up around the 285 yard mark which is a pretty big poke for me WITH ROLL and this one barely rolled at all. Left me 215 to the center of the green and the flag was in the front, so i'd say about 210 to the flag. Grabbed the 19* hybrid and "swung" it pretty easy with a nice draw that left me 2 FEET FOR EAGLE! I saw it good from the fairway and i was starting to tell myself "double eagle double eagle....but no dice."
15th hole</u>
275 yard par 4: Since i've been hitting the driver so well i figured i'd drive the green (done it many times at this hole) but i actually took something OFF the driver and ended up PIN HIGH! 25 feet for eagle, hit the putt a hair too soft as it broke a little too much at the end. Tap in birdie.
16th hole</u>
330 yard par 4: Big dog left left, used a 3 wood to bend it around the trees. Hit the approach thin, got up/down for par.
17th hole</u>
290 yard par 4: This is one awesome hole as there's a creek 260 yards out with a big ass tree in the fairway at 220 yards out (maybe) and the whole fairway down to the creek is downhill. I usually just blast one over the tree and the creek and do my best to make PAR. Yes, par this is a tricky green. However again, i blasted the driver again and ended up near the FRINGE. 15 foot putt, made the birdie.
18th hole</u>
190 yard par 3: Very very beautiful finishing hole that the course RUINED!!!!!!!!!!! It "was" a very visually intimidated hole because it looks further than 190 and you're carrying a creek again, with two big trees that you have to hit between (that they took out). So the hole looks very long and narrow, but its just an illusion because once you get there you realize how WIDE OPEN IT IS. Anyway they took out the trees so you now see how wide open it is and it just seems long. I think they ruined it, blah. Tried to swing a 5 iron and made a bad swing and didn't get up/down. Bogie

This was after i was 9 OVER ON THE FRONT! I was playing dumb and not focusing enough. However once i hit that good tee shot everything turned around and i made sure i played and focused until that last putt was made.
For those interested, i was using a swinging procedure (for 90% of my swings) with my new driver as i horizontal hinge now and my old driver didn't get up in the air enough. It is a cleveland comp 9.5 with a prolaunch s flex. Find a demo, you'll love it i promise.
My swing speed averages in the 108 range however i have been using a speed stik lately and however i don't feel it neceassarily helps you increase swing speed through the weight, i do feel it teaches you how to LAG it better and use the body corretly.
Brian will tell you i have lazy hips and don't use them very much. Using the speed stik and using my lower body more and allowing my upper body to "spin" like a flywheel i've gotten the stick up to about 115 many times and i feel my on course swing speed is up as well due to the distances off the tee. I however go at most of my irons shots maybe 60-70%.
Just wanted to share!
