41 putts

Shot an 88 with 41 putts. Think it's time to quit tinkering with the swing so much and work on the short game. That 88 was with an 8 on a par 4. So I think if the short game gets better I might be where I should be in the upper 70's.

My buddy says it's all in my head which it probably is. I would never think I would have 41 putts. I missed 3 within 2 feet. Just like the rest of my game I am fine in practice, but can't take it to the course. Time to find a mind guru.

I know the feeling, I played in a tournament this weekend 3 rounds shot 83, 84, & 81 with 39, 38 & 35 putts respectively as well as being 2/20 on up and downs. I had three bad swings all weekend, but they resulted in OB and 3 triples. By my calculations, I threw away about 24 shots...or 8 per round

I hit a ton of fairways and greens though and everyone I played with commented on what a nice swing I have.

I've been told I'm a headcase too, when it comes to scoring low.
