The website is ranked higher today than it ever has, closing in on a personal goal of mine.
25% of all the visitors to the site are new folks, and we haven't done a good enough job with those folks, so some extra time will be spent there.
As has happened many times in the 9 years we have operated the site, we get sidetracked by detractors and folks that are not on this site to learn, share, and be part of easily the best golf instruction community and site anywhere.
That's why in the category of sites operated by a named instructor, we are #1 with a bullet.
But, in order for the site to grow, we need to address three specific issues.
#1. Get new visitors up to speed as fast as possible, and have every interested golfer knowing exactly what we teach, and what we believe to be important.
#2. Having a place for teaching professionals (and distinguished fellows) only. It will be invitation only, and soon as the new section is ready we will open that section up.
#3. Having a simple set of hard, fast rules that everyone (including the Manzella Instructors) must abide by, and enforce them each and every day.
Here are the basic rules:
1. This site is strictly for discussing the golf swing and the rest of the game of golf from the perspective of Brian Manzella and his instructors and distinguished fellows. This is our business site where we reach out to over 22,000 unique visitors a month. It is not a site to recruit for any other business or non-business purpose.
2. As a forum participant, you are asked to be a person here to learn, to discuss, or to add to the discussion. If you are found to be here just to further an agenda, or distract us from running the site and helping folks with their games and (or) their teaching, you will be banned quickly.
3. Videos or stills from other instruction sites are prohibited, unless those sites are general interest sites like Golf Channel, or ESPN, etc. (swing videos of tournament players are permitted if they come from a video hosting site like YouTube or Vimeo, as long as they have no instructional content).
4. If you have a question about another teacher, or instructional site, video, book, etc, just ask the question generically, and we will be happy to do our best to comment on it.
5. No non-Public Domain golf swing videos allowed, i.e. "take a look at my swing and tell me what you think." If you want comment from one of the pros, just PM or email them the video.
Rules go in effect immediately.
Thanks,
Brian Manzella
