A Plan for PEACE....and Learning!

Once upon a time, Mike Hebron had a good idea:

"An International Golf Teaching Summit"

It was sabotaged by the PGA before it went to post and has deteriorated into a SEMINAR that is so sanitized, most teachers who WANT TO LEARN, don't go.

Silly me, I always go. Hopeful.

I always return. Disappointed.

This year, I am holding the FIRST ANNUAL MANZIPOSIUM.

A REAL Teaching Summit.

It may be 3 hours long or all day, it depends.

You see, as of now, I am summitting my teaching for peer review. I have been contacted by teachers from all over the world who wish to attend.

But, you see, it isn't much of a SUMMIT if I am the only presenter. No matter, I will let EVERYONE who attends ask any question, stop any live lesson I am giving, etc, to ask me a question or just debate me right then and there with their ideas, or maybe just add to what I am saying or doing.

It is going to be GREAT!

But, it could be OFF THE CHART GREAT.

If any other faction of TGM or any other "methodology" would like to show up with their posse, and submit their teaching program for peer review, we will hire a videographer who won't bury the tape, and bring some random students and lay it all out for all to see.

The crowd—which will be good anyway—would be GREAT and the video sales from this would be huge.

If anyone doesn't want to participate, I don't want to hear any crying about anything.

This is their chance.

Who ever participates in this will have PEACE, becuase there will be NO WAY TO "fake it."

The participants—like me—will have no choice.

:)

An interesting thought would be to do a 2 hour debate, kind of like the presidential debate. Set up a panel of three or four neutral moderators. Someone no one has an issue with, neither "Lynnites" nor "Manzellans" nor MacGrady disciples. Not necessarily all teachers, but at least well versed players in TGM. Then have at it on a few topics, e.g. why head-centered or not pivot, what is pivot-control, optimal ball position, how one starts instructing someone from the first lesson, etc.
