It took me a while to figure out if I am a hitter or swinger. After a day in the yard with a rake yesterday, I realized something about raking a pile of pine straw felt very familiar. I am a raker. My trail arm stays above the club and behind it in the backswing, just like loading up a rake to swipe a big ole pile of straw down the targetline. At transition, I get up my trail shoulder and arm above the rake and push downward to put maximum pressure on the pile of straw to gather as much as possible. this is a good technique for yardwork but a bad one for the golf swing. Please help.
