A special assignment

As most of you know I have a camera which I can use quite easily to make video's of just about anything. I thought it would be a good experiment for everyone here and for me and my understanding, to use it to demonstrate different things in the book. So if there is anything you would like explained and shown, let me know and I will take my best crack at it. Then with the help of the forum I can make changes to the videos to correct any errors I might make. And just to make extra doubly clear, I am not an AI. I am trying to understand just as much as most of you are, but I am in the unique position of attacking concepts from a strong background in golf instruction.

Wow Ringer what I great idea. I was just mulling over how to get some simple drawings up. A lot of time and frustration wld be saved by what you suggest as it is good to show correct (as in what the person is trying to illustrate) versus incorrect variations (as in similar / widely differing versions - again in the view of the writer) that could be misconstrued.

It seems to incredibly difficult for people to get the specifics of what they are saying across.

Oh course sometimes I know is deliberate in order to encourage people to pay for lessons etc and that's fair enough but does not really help people to understand posts. Soemtimes I shake my head and wonder why people post some of the replies they do eg. short cryptic responses :)

On the other hand there are lots of people here who seem to genuinely want to help for no immediate reward without holding back. Brian's articles with pictures show this.

Like you I want to learn and share and this would be a great idea.

I will post your first request shortly.

Chris

Sorry Ringer - I have been trying to find all the dialogue about keeping head steady and base of the kneck level with the ground etc. which I think was part of the above topic.

Position of the head at address:

from Brian:
"Tiger SIMPLY does not have his head in the proper position at Address.

He then SEEKS it on the downstroke."

If you could include something on that it wld be great. I am sure you know the topic I mean but I just cant put my finger on the contentious bits that came up.

Steve, i'd like to see the assembly of the flying wedges, the way they are moved to the top, back to release position, and through impact to the finish for both hitting and swinging.
An extremely slo mo swing, mainly focusing on the hands /power pacakge area.
thanks

How about:
- the 3 different hinge actions.....especially hitting (angled) and swinging (horisontal)
- the right forearm takeaway

lol

Dirgger... maybe you should try it. I'm benefitting from all the studying i'm going to have to do to make sure all of it is right. I have a hard time making money off my own learning. But now that I think about it, that's what I do already...hmmmm.

This is a great idea, for one thing with BRIAN, and LYNN you have the opportunity to get the best golf instruction out there. In my case I have been playing with a couple of motions more for fun then anything but ultimately I believe the golfing machine has the most sound principals and will end up swinging or hitting this way. I have not commited to learning the book yet so seeing pictures of TGM will be great and for a feel and visual player I will learn the most. The forearm takeawy is what I am going to stick with so a picture of this would be great . Also if you get sound give your thoughts on what you are tring to achieve would be great, thenks ringer, TIM

So, no more talk about it...OK?

...it's coming...shhhh

$ounds interesting!

Brian, I want you to know that you are free to use any of this material however you wish. I'm not about to claim it my own... and if any of it interfers with a project you are doing or in anyway will detract from your instruction, just let me know. This is your site and I certainly don't want this project to upstage you.

BTW, I'm almost down with the setup vs. impact fix. It's a buggar to produce. Flying wedges will be next followed by right forearm pickup.

I know a lot more about impact fix now than I ever did before... which is the idea.
