Across line at the top

I did a quick search but didn't find what I was hoping for. To make a long story short, I've been fighting an across the line position at the top of my backswing for a long time. I do hit it pretty straight with pulls (pull hooks) being my main misses. I saw a recent video of my swing at a golf range (didn't transfer the video) and basically I have to re-route my club on the downswing in order to get on plane.

I do keep my hands ahead of the ball at impact but I noticed that my left wrist does flip a little after impact and my left arm also collapses (I can't get a nice full extension) bringing the club very close to my body.

So now I'm working on trying stay on plane throughout my backswing the last few days and start my swing on a slightly flatter plane but most of my shots tend to start right and then slice further right. I'm looking for some suggestion for me to work on in my next range session. Without knowing how to exactly address some of these issues, I'm guessing that I have an open clubface issue and possibly opening my hips and left shoulder too much in the downswing in order to create room since my clubpath is very close to my body (due to my left arm collapsing) and I have to fight getting stuck.

A couple thoughts

Fix the clubface first.

If you were across the line before (which isn't always that bad), and aren't now, the clubface will be more open relative to the ball.

So, I think you should:

1. Make sure your grip is correct.
2. Twistaway on the backswing.
3. Try to get to wedding ring up on the downswing.

Do you have NSA?
