Brian et al,

When you use the concept of aiming point, that is an address idea right? That is during impact fix you like to see where your hands need to go. But when you are actually swinging you are eyeing the inside back quadrant of the ball right?

Brian, not that you asked, but I found the post referred to by hue to be very helpful as was the entire former flipper video short. I am struggling with a related concept when swinging. I seem to lose PP3 during release/swivel. I am fine when hitting when PP3 stays to the aft of the clubshaft. When swinging, and PP3 moves to the top of the clubshaft, I get stuck at impact because it does not make sense to me to maintain PP3 on top of the shaft as it feels off plane, i.e., PP3 would be "pointing" more at my feet since the top of the clubshaft at impact returns to perpindicular to the shaft plane at impact.

Moving PP3 back to aft at impact seems to improve the feel of PP3 but my accuracy is not as good compared to the temporary lose of PP3.

Hope this makes some sense. Thanks in advance.

It does and it doesn't.

I can surely see what you are talking about and it makes a lot of sense. I have a hard time both looking at the inside aft-quadrant of the ball and sensing where my hands are supposed to be at impact-which is checked visually via Impact Fix.

Personally, when i focus on less as to where my hands are and more on striking the inside back quadrant of the ball...i get better results.

When I hone in on what my hands are doing, I devote too much energy into ensuring the 'hands ahead' condition at impact and I tend to put too much grip pressure on the shaft and when i do that I am actually slowing down through impact instead of accelerating through the ball.
