Thanks for sharing. Al is an old and dear friend of mine from my time as the HP at Indian Ridge CC in Palm Desert. He was still competing on the Sr. Tour in those days and loved to talk golf and golf swing. His boys are awesome too. Brent was on Tour then, John was already the coach at Pepperdine, Brian was playing the minis and Alan, the wee one was intense and practicing with Pops a lot.
Al said a lot of insightful things to me back then. Regarding Alan, he told me that he didn't tell him much about the swing, only that he over emphasized this rhythm, balance and mannerisms so that Alan would notice and naturally try and copy. Alan could really swing a club, even as a kid. I've lost touch in recent years and don't know how they are all doing.
