Am I on the right track

My first post so be gentle..........I suffer from the dreaded OTT move. After reading many posts on this site I went to the range and worked on two things. On the downswing my thoughts are to keep my back to the target as long as I can and to keep my right shoulder back as long as I can. Those two thoughts seem to help a lot, my ball striking improved and my shot dispersion was a lot better than before. Also on the take away I try to keep the club out in front of me instead of getting behind me. Am I on the right track?

Looks like it. IMO the OTT starts with a bad takeaway and it sounds like you are working on the right thing there. The downswing others can chime in as I am still trying to get that right the TGM way.

You found the right place to help your swing. Don't be afraid to ask questions. Everyone is very helpful here.

couple things:

1) go to the instructional section and read "Never Slice Again" article.

2) read the post that Brian posted audio to, entitled "Real Word Teaching with TGM"

i promise if you do both you're OTT move should be gone in no time
