Brian on your new site, are you going to have something that basically any newcomer would see that could in one reading or viewing explain and demonstrate (to the best that can be done anyhow) basically what your site is about and that it is no joke in here?

I mean a mission statement, history, plan for further reading, and "hook" of sorts- all rolled into one.

i.e.

Naysayer:

"I don't know about this Manzella guy........who the heck is he? I haven't heard of him so how could he be as good as you say he is and know what he knows? How the heck could you possibly learn so much over the internet anyway?"

[watch video and/or read something]

Newly A Yaysayer:

"Oh man this is for real. Hot-damn!!"

...

I presume you will have one BTW. I really think it would be a great idea though.

I think that is a great idea. I wondered around these parts for months trying to piece it all together. I was hearing TGM stuff, Manzellaizms, and a combination of both.

GREAT IDEA!!!!!

I was thinking about this the other day.

I do think it would be helpful to split the 'Golfing Discussions' into further 'sub' categories.

It would make it easier to navigate and also maybe get people going to the right section for them.

One option may be similar to what the IT community use to categorise. They place things in Levels dependent on expertise.
i.e.
Level 100 - Assumes little or no expertise with topic concepts
Level 200 - Assumes 100-level knowledge and provides specific details about the topic.
Level 300 - Assumes 200-level knowledge, in-depth understanding of features in a real-world environment, and strong skills. Provides a detailed technical overview of a subset of product/technology features....

etc etc

Some of the Threads on this site can be very technical e.g. 'Madarin posts' and maybe better placed in an Manzella et al to Instructor focused area.

I am not saying they should be restricted in any shape or form, just ensuring people can find the content that suits their level of understanding and ability.

I'm just brainstorming here and don't mind getting shot down.

I've other ideas on options for categories but I'm just going to see what people think of the idea initially

Birdie,
brucifer,

I like it.

With so many of this community wanting the best for Brian maybe he should post a draft of his opening page concept and leverage the feedback of members’ impressions. Not so much for content but for presentation.
