Analyze these launch monitor stats

I started thinking about my launch monitor stats from an earlier post today and pulled my last #'s:

Driver: Titleist 907 D2 UST V2 76 Stiff, 45 in 9.5* Deg

Ball Speed: 149 (I think, ink ran a little on my sheet)

Launch: 14*

Spin: 2,075

I only hit the other "stock" shafts Titleist has to offer, being the Aldila VSProto 65, GDI YS-6+ and Titleist shaft. Swing speeds are calculated somewhere in the 105-110 neighborhood.

I can't say I know a whole lot about kickpoints, tip hardness, etc so let's hear it!

Also would like to hear other opinions on different driver/shaft combinations people are playing. How much do after-market shafts really help?

Check this out. It's a chart of optimal launch numbers.

According to this, your launch numbers are pretty close to spot on for your ballspeed, but your ballspeed could be a little higher given your clubhead speed.

As far as aftermarket shafts are concerned, they are varied enough in their characteristics that you should be able to find one to help you get the most out of your swing.

I agree...my swing speed is only in the 102-105 range, but I have a ball speed of 150-152, so I think you should have a faster ball speed as well. I also think the spin is a tiny bit low, at least IMO anyway.

149 / 1.50 = 100mph swing speed
149 / 1.45 = 103mph swing speed
149 / 1.40 = 107mph swing speed

If your swing speed estimates are correct you weren't hitting the sweetspot at all and thus the launch numbers really don't mean much to be honest.

However sometimes golfers really think they swing faster than they really do.

In any case, for that ball speed your ball spin is a tad low but to be really honest, in the "real golfing world" 500rpm of spin isn't going to make you or break you.
