any tips/drills to fix this problem? (video inside)

First of all, recently I've been hitting a small slice and occasionally getting them to go straight. I've been working on my finish(getting my hands in the air instead of stopping short). After watching the videos of my swing, I can clearly see I'm sweeping across the ball, causing the slice.

Are there any drills I can do to eliminate this? I know I probably need to get my arms higher up in the back swing and show more armpits...
I'm also having problems hitting too much ground with my irons...like I'm going at the ball too steep.

If you see any other flaws in the videos, don't hesitate to say.
Thanks,
Jon

you need more axis tilt. more at set-up, and definately more at the top. look at 'perfect pivot' articles. you could work on getting right shoulder down plane.

try 'jim furyk drill', were you put a club behind the ball, on the target line pointing down the line, and swing outside it on the takeaway, and come back inside it on the downswing.

ps this is a late post before bed time, so if info is a bit shoddy i apologise lol

shut face and bigtime OTT. shoulders work under before they work around on the downswing. All you are doing is getting them around.

Pretty good clubface action. You definately need more axis tilt at address. Think left shoulder over right knee in backswing. This will help you get your tailbone to start the downswing allowing your right shoulder to go down to the ball.

Well...

Looks like we need a trip to the range later in the week, Mr. Jon.

(note: The only change I have ever made in Jon's swing is his grip ;) )

Yea, the new grip took a few times out to get used to, but it helped a bunch.

Now I seem to have forgotten how to swing.

I'd recommend bending over the ball more at address. This will help get the club closer to on-plane, more inside, and - along with more axis tilt - can move you toward eliminating the OTT (over-the-top) move.
