Anyone watch the breaking series on Golf Channel?

The cowboy guy is trying to break 90 and with the instuctor he has I'm not sure he can do it. The instuctors are from golf galaxy so I don't know how good they are but the one was teaching the cowboy to flip. He said the club should lead the hands to the ball. Then he got out a mat with a rainbow on it, put the ball in the center of the arc in the center of the students stance and said the club should follow the rainbow. It looked like a placemat for a child to eat on. Then the guy bragged about being a good teacher. Total freakin joke.
You know before TGM and then this site I thought all teachers were probably good and I know I still have a TON to learn but I can already start to see through the guys that are full of crap. Thank goodness I've found this place!

It is amazing how quickly you realise a lot of main stream golf instruction is crap hey!

There are some good non-TGM teachers out there, but there are a lot of guys who make a living by somehow convinicing a good player that they know what they are talking about, and then live off the reputation they gain through that player.

All it takes is 1 good student for a lot of the golfing world to think of someone as a good teacher...

I saw ads for those challenge shows. We'll see won't we? Nice catch on that one faker.

I wasn't too impressed with the June GD 10-90-80 section on the shortgame. All blather and no meat and potatoes. Shows horizontal hinge in the photos for chips, but doesn't explain how to do this, NOR alternatives.
