I found this swing on YouTube.

I thought it was very representative of another good swing that :

Doesn't keep the head precisely between the feet OR keep the head stationary.

That is funny. Is the pivot center tripod officially dead now? Even the swing of Homer Kelley on 'another' site, looks like his head moves.

Not dead—not ever.

You can absolutely make a good pass at the ball with your head very still and somewhere near the middle of your feet. I don't like it or prefer it, though.

ie Fred Couples and Colin Montgomerie.

But, in this good swing, it starts to the right of DEAD middle, MOVES more to the right as the golfer turns AROUND the imaginary straight line connecting the base of the neck and the tailbone, then the head moves EVEN MORE to the right as the golfer stays in balance as he adds axis tilt.:D

Looks good to me.

Brian, looks to me like the camera angle may not be perfectly square. Many times you've spoken of the difficulty in relying upon these camera stills, couldn't the camera angle make a head that turns without changing it's position in space appear to move laterally, or at least exagerate any movement to seem more than it truely is?

Brian is your swing exactly how you'd like it? I guess not. Bet you still it it ok tho right? But then, you might do even better if you tweaked a few things.

Everyone wants to tweak their swing....even Tiger

but this pic reminds me of one of those preachers that wail from the pulpit against fornicators and later gets caught with one of the choir girls.

IMPERATIVES - look pretty good ! at least FLW and lag... there is only so much that can be deduced from a blurred stills from video of a couple of swings...

What a sensational hands forward impact position and lag. This is exactly what i need to improve in my game. From memory Brian said Ben told him it is impossible to have too much lag.

Yup, imperatives.

As far as the "blurry" stuff:

These pics were aligned in photoshop down to the pixel.

The guy's head moves, so what?
