This is purely anecdotal.

Watch Federer and Gasquet rally: HD Federer / Gasquet Practice 1/2.mov - YouTube

Now watch Murray and Ferrer: HD Murray / Ferrer Practice 1/3.mov - YouTube

While Federer and Gasquet seem to hardly move their bodies, Murray and Ferrer are very rotary.

I think one can draw an analogy to golf.

Not to say the body's not important but the arms and hands are special in my mind. Take advantage of them, like Gasquet, Federer, and...

What's interesting is that as his arms go back his leg goes forward, wonder why? Don't see him going back and staying there and just throwing the bat at the ball. Not only that but his torso is leading his arms into the ball.

Yeah one guy is trying to hit a baseball and the other a golfball. I guess there is no comparison except what the intent is.

You should research Babe Ruth and Sam Byrd. Sam is the only professional baseball player to play in the Majors and WIN on the PGA Tour.
Sam would say it's like squaring an axe upon a tree, only in this case a stump downward.
