Arm Lift In Backswing

Haven't looked at my swing on video for a while but have been struggling with blocks, hooks, and thin shots. Looked at it in early May and have knees chasing my tail with what to work on. Been struggling with a backswing that is flat, laid off, and with slight left wrist bow. I then get spinny with my hips and stuck. I felt it was due to my arms moving too deep early with a shut clubface which caused a late rotation of the forearms therefore laying the club off. However, looking at it more I feel as if it's due to an out-of-sequence backswing. I seem to turn early then catch up by lifting my arms losing the left bicep/pectoral connection sending the club way left. Haven't really dribbled upon anyone else who is struggling with the same issue. Not sure which of Brian's patterns would be best to work on. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
