automatic golf

I am a right handed person playing golf left handed (from the first ever swing with a baseball bat) and about 15 to 20 yrs ago I rented a video at the store called automatic golf by Bob Mann. It always made sense to me that the front hand or my right hand controlled the swing. I got decent with this method (3 handicap, good short game), but have not improved any in years, no matter how hard I practice I stay about the same level. With this method my hands get too far forward, I hit the ball low and my misses are pulls or pull hooks. I was wondering if anyone is familiar with the tapes and which one of Brian's methods would be better to try. I have recently been on a Mike Austin trial method with no success, but am finally at the conclusion that I have to change something to get better.

I too am a righty playing lefty. I have adopted the Soft Draw Pattern as my pattern of choice and have struggled with the under toss part of the pattern. I have played golf for 15 years with a feeling that the left hand/arm was just along for the ride ( all pulling with the right arm guess).

Why would SD be good for him??

What is Automatic Golf? (pattern?)

Or is it just the fact that SD is a good pattern to start with and play with for most people?
