Axis Tilt/Driver Pop-Up

I have a tendency to lunge on the downswing, but have found that maintaining my axis tilt has helped tremendously. However, when I focus on maintaining axis tilt, I will sometimes sky the Driver. Any idea what might be causing this?

Thanks,

Couple of points:

When I sky the driver, it's 'cause I am too steep. I need to keep my right hip cleared to the arms can drop into place.

OR

You're club head could be traveling to low to the ground at impact, and this might be a ball placement issue.

Axis Tilt is a hip motion - the hula flexability under the stationary head (assuming its in its impact fix alignment). The axis tilt is in the downstroke which enables the right shoulder which has turned back to the plane to then travel down on the plane....

Just like Chubbs said to Happy Gilmore "Its all in the hips"

Do this:

Ball off the left heel....stance width-as wide as you can without feeling too restricted.
Point your belt buckle to the right of the ball.

You head should be barely right of middle.

Make sure your head doesn't go forward on the downswing and try hitting some without grounding the club.

Tell me the results.;)
