My swing (2 different shots):
Behind:
Face on:

The behind shot was a big block cut. In looking at these and from what I am feeling, it seems like I stand up on my back swing, hurting my turn. I played yesterday and tried to "screw" my right foot into the ground. Felt like I turned better and more level. any thoughts appreciated.

That was no block cut. It was a toe ender caused by an out to in swing going left too soon.

Loved the comment at the end of the face on swing. The direct opposite and only alternative to "that will do". :D

Can you elaborate more Burner. That shot kills me and I do not know what I am doing. It is usually hit very solid.

Any BM teachers have an opinion?

bcoak,
Looks like you get the club up & away too soon with an open clubface and never get the handle in enough coming back down.
Try adding a little twistaway going back and keep the butt end of the club closer to your waist.

Not a BM teacher but my 2 cents is that your b.s. is been dominated by your arms, not enough right hip turn/ pivot. Maybe lct would help to get the b.s. pivot motivated to be in control. Your clubface was open at contact on that blocked cut shot, tumble could help.

Worth what you are paying for it but it helped me to cure what you've got.

What I am seeing is that your shoulders, hips and knees are all aligned left - open to your club face and intended target line. Seems to me that you are intending to hit the ball straight down the pipe but you are (bodily, and swing plane wise) aiming down the tree line to your left.

That, and nothing in the back swing or anything else, is causing you to swing across the back of the ball from right to left.

Following the BManz mantra of swinging left (a good thing, in context) is compounding the alignment errors because everything is already going left of where you are trying to hit the ball to.

You might like to try playing the ball a bit further forwards in your stance. Close up a little at address, draw your right foot back and away from the target line a few inches even, and aim/swing at a point a couple of hundred yards distant on the right edge of the fairway. Then go left after you hit the thing - not before you get to it as in the clip posted.

Agree with alot of what was said. backswing is arms dominated and too high. You unwind and carry the hands out. this forces you to hang back and fit it in an undercutting way. The whole thig needs some early turn with the handle working closer to the body back and down.

That's what I was thinking. Need much more of a SD backswing with a lot less pop-out...?

I can see what you means with the arms. Any drills?
