I have been hitting the ball very well lately thanks to this forum :D, but what I would like to know is how to get the ball to start off low and then rise so it lands soft on the green, this could be handy if I need to hit out from under a tree or something.

Is there something special you do with your swing to achieve this?

Thanks

(I've lowered my hadnicap 4 strokes since I started coming to this forum, thanks for all the great info Brian and everyone)

Really, you don't want the ball to do that all the time.....just to let u know....esp. with the driver (but I'm sure you must know that anyway).

....

Anyway....

You would need more spin I think.

Learn to hit a low fade maybe?

Yes I agree not all the time, but I think it would be handy in certain situations, I have done it (by accident) but it would be nice to know what in the swing causes it so I can repeat it if I need too.

Easy!

Take a lofted club and severely de-loft it by arching your wrist a bunch and moving toward the target on the ball at address.

This creates the "perfect storm"....

LOW LAUCH angle and steep angle of attack and HIGH SPIN.
