Ball Position and Hip Sway?

Two problems I consistently have that I have to work on,

1: Hip sway, both going back and coming forward
2: Ball position, I have a tendency to get the ball too far back in my stance.

My question is what impact these two items may have on my ability to create lag. For one it seem that when I get the ball too far back in my stance I have a tendency to chicken wing(due to the fact I have to shorten the radius of my swing, or hit the ground).

These are things we don't talk about much in the Golfing machine, but just wondered what people's thoughts were around these two swing errors.

That's why I love Standard Hip Action and MY VERSION of Shoulder Turn Takeaway.

Almost NONE of my students have this problem.

Also, a TOO FAR BACK ball position will FORCE YOU to chicken wing to hit it straight!
