The other thread I made on Hogan, helps to make me wonder. If you had the choice of a student having the ball position either 1-2 inches too far forward or 1-2 inches too far back, which side would you rather them error on and why.

but the world is not perfect and neither are golfers. Think of it as choosing between a fade and a draw, which way would be easier to control, forward or back

So, the question is really, should you play a fade or a draw? Well, I hate to have to be in a position where I would have to settle for either, but if all else failed I would definitely go for the fade, which can be educated. However, the ball position would not be compromised for any reason.

It depends on the physical ability of the golfer and their tendencies when it comes to clubface control(error)
