hi everyone, im new here and want to seriously start studying TGM. i've done a bit of research already on pressure points, power accumulators, and flying wedges but still not exactly sure how to use them.

is there some thread here that is an outline of TGM and states the basics so i can refer to it and do further searches from there?

im sure this has already been discussed and i could use the search to find it, i just don't know what to be searching for.

any help would be appreciated.

thanks.

Before embarking on this wonderful journey, I would make a distinction between book material/knowledge and real-life game improvement application of this material.

More axis tilt.
Snap the chain better.
You swing too far left/right
Fix your grip/setup.
Buy NSA/NHA/Flipper/Out and over.

I personally think the TGM book is confusing. Ben Doyle's video is much better but it's still confusing. Brian's videos are good too and they are more modern. If you have a TGM instructor near you it may be easier to go seem them to better understand the basics. IMO if you're going to take the journey into TGM through a TGM instructor you will probably learn much quicker and the videos, books, and posts will make a lot more sense.

well, its not that i am wanting to use TGM to build a swing, i just want something to reference as far as the terms and theory so that i could discuss it if needed.

Mike Hebron has a great book (I think) that has a very concise summary of the golfing machine principles that I refer too often.

Golf Swing Secrets and Lies: Six Timeless Lessons

let me know if you like it.

I was just getting ready to post the same recommendation. I'm reading this book right now. This is a great TGM-based book.
