Mandrin,
I have a bit of trouble understanding the power curves. Why does both arm and clubhead power start to go down when respective speeds are still going up? In my mind that would mean that torque would need to go down, but I do not understand why. What am I missing here?

jake2,

Power is the rate at which work is done.
Work done is equal to the change in kinetic energy.
The sign of power is hence determined by the slope of the energy curve.
Energy (and speed) can hence be going up whilst power is decreasing.
It suffices that the rate of increase of energy simply slows down a bit.
It is easy to see by comparing Figs 4 and 5.
