I've rented some of Ben's video lessons and got the "Elkington set". I don't recall the year they were done but I'm guessing it was around 2000. One of the classic moments in the lesson is when Ben has Elk trying to do the "wet towel throw-out drill", where you hold one end of a bath towel like a club (with the lower portion of the towel wet) and hit a bag stand using only your "pivot". Elk has a hell of a time doing it properly (he looks like a 30 hdcp at one point) while Ben practically knocks the bag stand over with the smallest of motions. After about 20 failed attempts and his frustration level building, Elk bends over to look Ben in the eye and says "Why can't I do it!!???"

Priceless. :)

If you haven't rented any of Ben's tapes, they are an interesting way to see TGM in action.

Ben & Steve.

I have been around Ben a lot when Steve is calling from a tournament.

They have very good teacher/student relationship.

Funny, they NEVER mention Ben's name on TV.

Ben was working with S. Elkington solely at the US Open at Oakmont. I talked with Ben and met SE there. They were working at the far right side of the range. It was great to see Ben doing his thing...

Interesting to hear this as I remember some TV commentator saying last year or the year before that Elkington " had gone away from that Golfing Machine stuff" and that was why he was starting to play better again. Glad to see that it is just the opposite. Maybe Kostis just had his toupee on crooked that day and was distracted.
