My reliable sources tell me that this fabcicated letter that has been circulated for years has no validity and should not be analysed further. Nothing about it is consistent with the man's character or behavior. People just wish he would have communicated more about what he had going on, but he didn't as is evidenced by the secret, that is lack of a secret.

maybe people fabricated that he had a secret so they would not feel bad about their inability to execute a golf swing. could it be that some people rationalize there is a secret and if they knew what it was they would be able to execute like hogan. THey believe failure to know the secret is what holds them back. Maybe they do this instead of taking responsibility for the real reason, which is they themselves hold them badk and that is because a lack of focused effort. Their excuse is the secret they dont know, that is why they are a hacker.

Trust me, Woody knows Hogan. Nuff said.

It really IRKS me that soem teachers want things like this letter or other maybe-bogus letters, to validate what they are teaching.

I could give a rats hind about anything like that.

RESULTS. Live, real-world results, is how I have developed my teaching method.

If if didn't work at all—junk pile.

If it worked SOME of the time—it got a cubble-hole in my arsenal.

But.....some things work nearly 100% of the time. And that folks, is a video ;).

Thanks for the stamp babes...Brian, what do you think Hogan would have thought about video and today's instruction with players seemingly acting like programmed robots? How do you think his do it yourself singular approach would work today?

Thanks for the response on the letter. I think he would have worked hard on his swing with video to get as precise as possible. There is no point of not taking advantage of such a tool. Judging by his analytical nature he probably would have enjoyed it.

Gardiner Dickinson said that Hogan said if he video cameras and good coaching that he would have gotten better 10 years earlier. And Hogan also humbly said that today's players are so much better than the players of his era because of all the equipment and good coaching.

Hogan would have STILL done it his way in today's game, and told everyone gfy.

He would have owned a camera, though.
