I have been teaching golf since 1984 and G.O.L.F. since 1987.
I figure that except for Ben Doyle and Gregg McHatton, I have given more "Chip, Pitch, Punch. Swivel, & Swing" lessons than anyone who ever lived. If I missed anyone, I'm sure I am still in the top 5.
"Chip, Pitch, Punch. Swivel, & Swing" is just another way to say "Basic Motion Curriculum" which is in TGM.
Homer had some ideas of how to do it, and so did Ben.
Ben's version is great, Homer's is very complete and precise, and the self-styled Homer parrots out there, do a great job with this material.
Hooray! for all!!!
But, I have been quite vocal in my opinion that this "Chip, Pitch, Punch. Swivel, & Swing" or "Basic Motion Curriculum," isn't for everybody who comes for a lesson. Also, EVEN for some who need it (95% of golfers), a good percentage of them don't need it FIRST.
Having said that—there are some—who are trying to portray me as someone who NEVER teaches it.
What a joke.
I love it, and for those who need it—and will sit still for it—I teach the HECK out of it. It just isn't first on the agenda for most, that's all. I can fix the ball-flight first faster without it, that's all. Eventually, ALL my serious students get it.
I once had a student who got 40 lessons without getting to make a swing with the clubhead finishing higher than his hands, and that was one improved golfer by the end of his 47 lessons in 5 months. About 30 or 40 shots better.
When I have taught groups—and I love to do it—I always teach them "Chip, Pitch, Punch. Swivel, & Swing" or "Basic Motion Curriculum."
AND I do it FIRST.
But!!!!
I came up with my own way.
Yup, that "guy from Louisiana" was at it again.
I needed to find a way to get 10 or 20 or even 47 students to "Chip, Pitch, Punch. Swivel, & Swing" at THE SAME TIME.
I don't mean this as ANY offense to Homer, but, come on, can you imagine 47 golfers (who have NEVER PLAYED GOLF) going through chapter 12—at once??
Well...
By 1988 I had it.
BY 1994 people were STEALING IT from me.
But....when I went to Louisville, I spent quit a bit of time PERFECTING IT.
So.....
I filmed a video of it this past MAY.
Some of you have ALREADY PURCHASED it.
But, only a select few have ever seen the program.
What is it?
Where is it?
It is—or rather WAS—"Beginner Class."
But, I hated the name because it NOT just for rookies.
I thought about "Hit it like a pro" 'cause you would, if you did it, but, nah! not a good descriptive name.
Where is it? Well the video got lost in Katrina, but it is "in my head" and FINALLY, all three beta videos will be shot and edited in February!
But,
I can't wait.
So, in the next couple of days, I will do a self-produced BETA of this material that will be available for FREE for all the BETA TESTERS, but for a fee for those who want to see it with about being a tester.
Building Blocks(Beta 0.95)
will be available in the next few days on the web and DVD.
It is—in my opinion—a super easy to learn SYSTEM, that in many ways, is better that the "Basic Motion Curriculum" in the book.....for some people.
Who are those people?
If you don't know an accumulator from a potato—you might like this one better.
If you can't visit an AI—you might find this will do, for now.
If you like my stuff—you will LOVE this.
Tom Bartlett, GSEB, has seen it all, and likes this video the best.
It will sell for $20 for the web version or $30 for the DVD.
