FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MANZELLA LANDS AT ENGLISH TURN

Brian Manzella announces the new home base for his Brian Manzella Golf Academy at English Turn Golf and Country Club in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Manzella, a New Orleans resident and native, has operated his Academy out of Louisville, Kentucky since 1997.

The Brian Manzella Golf Academy has nine Manzella-Certified Instructors in six states, and will hold schools in 2009 in California, New York, Maryland, and Pennsylvania, in addition to Kentucky and Louisiana.

Brian Manzella has produced nine instructional videos, and appears in the PGA of America’s Instructional DVD Series on the Short Game. His Confessions of a Former Flipper, Never Slice Again 2, and The Soft Draw Pattern, are among the most popular videos on the internet, where his website is one of the top five instructor sites with over 10,000 members, and more than three million hits per month.

Manzella is a PGA member, and was the PGA Section Teacher of The year in Kentucky in 2003. An Authorized Instructor of The Golfing Machine at the highest level—G.S.E.D., Brian is the only professional in Louisiana to be so designated.

Manzella’s students include the PGA Tour’s David Toms, who has worked with Brian since his days at L.S.U.

Brian Manzella started his teaching career under long-time City Park professional Henry Thomas in 1983, and has taught at City Park since, along with his frequent travels.

“English Turn has one of the best practice facilities anywhere,” says Manzella. “Having my Academy based there will cut my travel drastically, and allow me to provide the members of English Turn and the golfers of New Orleans world-class instruction at a world-class facility.”

What this means for you.

English Turn is quite a place.

Built in 1988 by Jack Nicklaus, financed by the USF&G Insurance Company, It was one of the most expensive courses ever built in North America at the time.

It hosted the New Orleans PGA TOUR Stop for several years, including 2001 when David Toms shot 63-64 on the weekend, and won to the loud chants of LSU! Go Tigers! LSU!

The practice facility is Tour quality, with two exceptional short game areas and a mammoth practice putting green.

Moving the Brian Manzella Golf Academy's home base there will allow me to travel somewhat less, but have a place to teach that will provide the folks who come to see me from all over the world, a better experience, and a setting that will allow me to cover more area, teach the short game better, and take folks out to play on a course that will be enjoyable, worth the trip, and will test every part of their game.

I will continue to travel to Louisville every other week from April through October, and will do schools/& or Tour Stops in California, New York, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Michigan, as well this season.

The "Manzella Special" two-day personal Golf School's New Orleans price will go up only $50 to $800, same as the Louisville price, but it now includes not only the practice facility at "The Turn," but a $155 round of golf on a world-class course.

All in all, it is a great day for the Manzella Academy, and the little Italian boy form Chalmette.

Home and Home.

In one of the great ironies in life, English Turn is slightly more than just two miles—almost due south—from where I grew up in Chalmette, Louisiana, at 2704 Pecan Drive.

My Mom lived there until Katrina put 12 feet of water in it.

Just a few par 5's away from "home."

This is the perfect opportunity to get my wife to consider going to N.O. for a vacation, assuming you'll have me for a couple of days BM.
