My bad shot, which has diminished since reading this foruma nd adding horizontal hinge and some other things, is a big block cut. Always hit solid so it goes real deep into the woods. I have never been able to find someone to tell me what causes it. Brian, what causes a/my block cut?

If you are really using horizontal hinging, just make your path into the ball more shallow and rotate the face sooner.

i used to try and cock my wrists up, like in the article Brian just wrote and said was wrong. I changed it to how he describes it.

Blocks, Improper use of the right forearm, or left if your left handed, it should be taught how to straighten not hold. Possiblily too much thinking or using the hands, they are to be a by-product of the swing.

Last nights game between the Yankees and Marlins. Marlins pitcher had the best throwing action, any golfer should work towards.

Where does the ball go with a long iron? A short iron?

It tends to be with the longer clubs. Mostly get in trouble with the driver. Starts right and goes right.
