Blocks / pushes...terrible approach shots...

Well, since my lessons with Brian (second round) about a month ago, I am hitting my driver like never before and my mid irons the same.

Short irons and wedges on full shots are a nightmare as of late. I just can't seem to dial them in at all. Lately, my main miss is a block. I think I know what is causing that but I would appreciate comments.

What I really need to work on are shots to the green with 8 iron down. It seems I am having trouble setting up with these clubs vs. mid irons up.

Well...

When Bill and I worked last, I FORCED HIM to maintain his axis tilt through impact.

In doing this, we kept the right should DOWN & BACK more than I would with almost anyone else.

This down & back—but not necessarily forward—right shoulder, works fine for longer clubs that REQUIRE MORE AXIS TILT, and can support and plane line more out to right field.

The solution is to get your "right shoulder to your left foot" sooner, and move the ball back very slightly.
