Kostis on Brandt Snedeker's swing. PK states that he doesn't get to his right side that well. It looks like he gets way over there, look at his right knee turning the other way and the shoulder turn.

Has Kostis ever been complimentary of anyone's swing other than Paul Casey's...anyone can nit pick and find something wrong with every swing. I wish they would focus more on what these guys do right.

Wow... doesn't get to his right side well enough? He gets to it just as much as Tiger does if not even a hair bit more. I don't like his finish though.

My interpretation is that PK was referring to amount of lean to the right compared with other players, He never metioned shoulder turn. He did appear to turn very much over the ball like the stack and tilt.

Doesn't get to his right side?

What, does he want him to fall over?

And we wonder why people are confused about the golf swing...

Just where his hips have finished causing him to be rolled out and on the heel. He has a great release but I can see how he might get a few more "pulls" than he's looking for.

This goes back to a very long and lengthy discussion.

Although you can't see it too well from this angle, his left hip has pulled away from the ball and his right hip is finishing over the ankle of his left foot instead of over the toe of his left foot. This causes him to finish out of balance in my opinion. I know lots of others will differ. But here's what I'm seeing.

The pulling of the left hip is going to pull his whole left side away from the ball and tends to cause people to come accross the shot. Instead of pulling accross Brandt makes a HUGE forearm roll for a release to compensate. It's a tricky fine line he's walking and if he doesn't do that huge release, he'll end up pulling the clubhead inside just a tad and cut it. If he releases the amount he does, but finishes in better balance, he'll hit a pull hook. With just the right amount of left arm pull accross, and forearm roll over he can keep the club on plane.

I guess the most direct way of putting it that applies to everyone is, with a neutral grip and a pulling of the left hip away from the ball, the only way to compensate is to time a major forearm rotation. On this swing Brandt aparently did time it just right.

Ringer, Jack Nicklaus did what your describing there his entire career. A hacker will spin out and hit a weak slice. But with Nicklaus and Snedaker that is just an anti hook move that they know very well. They aren't doing a forearm roll to compensate, they are trying to prevent a hook, or hit a fade. The forearm roll release was there anyway. I'm fairly certain that Snedaker has overslid his hips and hit right to left shots in the past and this is his way to counteract it.
