After working vigorously with the Confessions video and the Building Blocks video for the past 3 weeks, yesterday I came to the conclusion: It Works!!! All that flat left wrist and bent right wrist stuff actually works! Lag exists! I no longer feel like I am throwing my hands at the ball and flip hooking it all over the lot, but rather have a syncronized motion that has me hitting the ball like never before.

The piece that finally put it all together: AXIS TILT, I really didn't understand this and consequently it was the last thing I decided to look at. Yesterday I did a search spent all day reviewing posts on this site pertaining to axis tilt as well as the swings of Finney and Brian. To me, this allowed the rest of the motion to happen correctly.

I have a clear purpose as to what I want to do with each swing. Whoever said that the lack of the right information is what holds golfers back is absolutely correct.

I have gained a lot of distance with my irons and about 12-15 yards with my hybrid and 4 wood. The only club that has not responded as well has been the driver. All of this due to applying the 3 imperatives and axis tilt and working with things like an impact bag and other imagery.

This forum is a place where you can truly improve if you apply the information.

Tee it up and try to hit it only as far as you do your 7 iron. Soon you will find that the driver is the easiest club in the bag because the inside of the ball is so accessible perched up on a tee.

Actually Brian's comment that seemed to be the theme in all the axis tilt related posts was:

"From the top the tailbone goes left and back"

This visualization got me on the right track. But I really "got it" from looking at the graphics Brian drew on swing sequences that showed his axis tilted, as well as David Toms' swing.

I will look for it again and reply.
