I've pretty much have everything sorted out. I need a little more practice with my path (early in the season) and i'm hitting my woods pretty solid. However i'm down on speed and i guess i just need to get back in the gym :(

Anyway, i can't figure out the driver. I'm using the same swing as my 3 wood but no matter the tee height i seem to be hitting it waaay high on the face and dangerously close to skying them. I have a few too lol. Which is odd for me because my usual miss with the driver is LOW on the face, not very high.

If i try to swing a little flatter i hit the ball lower than i want. I just can't seem to find that middle ground. Am i just coming down too steep and simply just need to work on my path?

----

Also what is the effect of a short versus long left thumb? Being a hitter with big hands/fingers who doesn't like midsize grip when i use a short thumb it tends to move a bit during the swing. I haven't hit any balls with a long thumb but was curious what effect it would have if i started too.

Thanks

No matter what i do to shallow out my downswing, it just isn't working.

help :(

I am going to start using some plane lasers again, do you think that can help? I'm also going to practice some with a cheap version of the inside approach.

Also my path with my irons is much better. I was drawing 8 irons tonight focusing on more a inside/out action and then i settled back to straight shots.

I was browsing through your instructional articles and had a thought, you think my "weak impact" and poor driver swing is a result of not enough axis tilt to start the downswing? I don't feel as steep through impact as i used to; the shoulders that is not the arms. Anything to that?

It just really gets me down when i can barely get my driver to carry 220-230 yards when i was getting over 260 before winter

The Driver REQUIRES the MOST axis tilt of any club.

Very easy to wind up on the short side of it.

Also, you may be missing some snap in your TRANSFER from Pivot Speed to Arm Speed.

Makes sesne because the short clubs need the least and the long clubs need the most right? Well i'm just striping the short clubs with accuracy/height/spin/etc...but i'd say from 6 iron down it just isn't very good.

How can i work on my "snap."
