Brian, David Toms article

Just got Golf Digest today. David Toms article is entitled "How to Hit the Shortgrass" meaning drive it in the fairway.

Key points are 1) Slow Down 2) Softer left arm 3) Tee it lower with only a little of the ball above top of Driver and 4) Play the shape of the day, fade or draw.

You guys still read golf magazines?

Yeah, I agree. Golf Magazines are the biggest scam in publishing. Really just a promotional vehicle for manufacturers, vacation destinations, and a select group of overrated, overpaid teachers.

Plus if the monthly tip worms its way into your mind it could be weeks before you get back to normal.

So golf manufacturers, vacation golf destinations, golf instructors, etc. are evil. Maybe there should be a law banning advertising of evil activities like these. Then wouldn't have as many of these bad capitalist companies peddling their wares.

Comrade, what a great idea!

I still read them but mostly for the stories and not the instruction. I read the Tom's article and I was wishing they did not try to boil everything down to one sentence ideas all the time. Seems like a few of his ideas had some merit but they just did not say enough.

Really I could take or leave the magazines but I order then through my kid's school fundraiser. Wish they had Manzella Monthly.

Fabulous, a fellow traveller and one who has mastered the socialist's art of putting words in one's mouth. Michael Moore would be proud.

Nothing evil about it at all, as you know. But I am not going to waste my time searching for golf intelligence in what is what is essentially a promotional flyer. That is why I come here.
