Or to swivel.... which would be one of the biggest reasons.
Learn to rotate those knuckles down to the ground, as hard as you can, until you hook every shot (neutral grip)
then work on hitting a high sweep hook, then you can work back to neutral because you can 'feel your hands', and you will have learned to get things on, or slightly under, plane - where no slicer ever is
learn the too much, not enough, and you can find the 'just right'
As Hogan said... trying to control the face of the club through impact is a folly... trust your setup and release, and balance
